ITs wierd to ask and speaks of unprofessionalism .. Over enthusiastic people. They should check the knowledge with proper questions .. But its not an issue to answer these questions. Its not breaking NDA.

IF they know someone in that company, why cant they reach out to them directly after interview and check if the candidate is fake or not ...
