Investments Outside of US/India

Did any of you invest in countries outside of India , US? 
 

Say , countries like Dubai which is a Tax Heaven.

Some seem to have invested in countries like Columbia.

Some appear to have bought Apartments in Dubai due to Tax benefits and good rental returns.

Just wanted to see if any smart people here explored the unknown territories.
