irony....by that time all most all political parties got Electoral Bond donations...but none of them spend a rupee from that... 

in fact govts asked people to give money to PM cares and CM relief funds...

Sad.. I don’t know what else the govt would have done.. if they gave a week or two weeks, people will still travel.. govt cannot control a billion plus population from moving around… 

everyone should have stayed wherever they are.. there was no need to travel to their home towns in the middle of a pandemic..

There is lot of things the govt had to take care of.. no amount of infrastructure will be able to handle a pandemic.. we don’t have a policy or planning for these type of events.. 

US with all its policies and upfront planning for all emergencies and contingencies, suffered a great deal than many other countries.. we have 3-4 times the population of US and many of them are poor..

He did lot of good work… He got more publicity.. but there are a whole lot of ppl, govt officials who did their part.. 

pandemic time lo chala mandi govt ppl lost their lives.. especially in police, municipal and health departments.. when doing their duties

The majority of these folks were people who worked as daily wages doing construction jobs, vending on roads etc.

The primary reason why these folks were compelled to make this journey back home was for the obvious reason that they did not have any money for survival. Do you think that these folks just decided to travel for any other reason other than survival? With no food and and no money , the unfortunate people had to make this dangerous journey and sadly some of the folks perished along the way. And sadly we do not have any metric and no one really cared about them.

Their struggles were well documented.. but there are so many educated people who went to their home towns at the same time.. but they all travelled on cars and trains and flights.. I don’t think anyone expected this kind of travel across the country.. 

I was in another city in US on work when the pandemic started… I also drove 14 hours on car, checking Walmarts on the way for hand sanitizer and toilet paper.. funny how certain events do to you and make you take such decisions..

Many politicians did lot of good work.. not all of them though.. you won’t believe how many people reached out to politicians for hospital help and for food..
