Yes, Hyd to Bangkok then self transfer within same airport to San Francisco. Had to take the on- arrival visa (Thai tourist visa) but I have USA 🇺🇸 passport.  Check visa requirements as well, if self transferring.

otherwise go out get bag re checkin

bags lekuntey you can stay inside airport only like normal transfer
