A friend bought a home in CA. It looks an independent house but is categorized as condo.

HOA $760.

Price $1.75M.

1800 SqFt.

Wife+Husband make abount $260k. Paying $2500 for 1 bedroom apartment.

They had to move and were looking at apartments (2 bedroom) for $4000. Instead they bought this due to peer pressure. They say its odd when they had to invite someone to home and when interest rates decline, home prices will increase and this purchase will look a lot better.

Monthly payments are now $8000. Also a lot of work needs to be done to home.

From $2500 -> $8000.
