external factors like shampoo, showerhead, bathing with luke warm water, head bath  from bucket instead of direct shower with lukewarm to warm water instead of piping hot. 

Food -- good amount of fruits + lots of protein in the diet. 

low stress levels is what I observed; healthy and active lifestyle is what I have observed personally for good hair growth.
