KPR Industries has come up with a proposal to establish this caustic soda manufacturing facility during Chandrababu Naidu‘s regime. Jagan supported an agitation against this facility while he is in the Opposition. He announced canceling the permissions immediately after coming to power.

Wonder why we are speaking about KPR industries when Jagan is inaugurating a plant of Grasim industries?

In February 2019, Grasim has acquired the Chlor-alkali biz of KPR Industries for Rs 253 Crore. So, the KPR industries of the Chandrababu regime is Grasim now and the investment is the same.

In June 2020 after becoming the Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy in a review meeting said – “I had extended support to the people against the project while in opposition. The project was then promoted by KPR Industries. Just because Grasim took over KPR, what credibility will we have if we clear it now”.

Forget about taking the credit for the investment, Jagan should answer how he opposed the facility in Opposition and is inaugurating it himself now.
