Exactly , This is what happen in my company only for infra guys . Their opinion since infra guys will have more access they can do anything 

literally working for years for same company for one of my DBA colleague they conduct meeting sent immediately 

So there is no honest , loyalty in this  corporate sectors , better to lean and Jump for next role and repeat cycle . This is what I observed and I have to start this one , Just visa is restricting me . Definitely I will start this cycle

True about notice. Not many companies give that. However they give a severance package that includes pay for 2 week notice. 

For a contractor it depends on the MSA agreement between the primary vendor and company. If MSA includes 2-week notice, company pays that to primary vendor. Whether it gets paid down the lane to sub vendors/contractor is a different question. But a consultant should ask.
