First you need to ask this question to yourself - What's bothering you the most? Is it really school or your decision to buy home. How comfortable are you with the finances around buying a home? Elementary schools - Not a big deal if Middle and High schools are good. Also consider the population who is coming into your community. If its asians, school district will improve. Make sure you love the house, commute to office, neighborhood, etc and your finances that support them. Rest all comes secondary. Quote
Konebhar6 Posted April 30, 2024 Report Posted April 30, 2024 See if you can picture yourself along with your family growing and living there for next 10-15 years. Talking to a lot of people Good Schools/School Districts - They matter if your kids are really smart. Like excellent. These schools tend to push your kids boundaries. If kids are AVG or below, they will lose confidence. Due to peer pressure they keep pushing themselves as others and do not do well. Not easy to get into universities from Good school districts if kids are less at academics. Mediocre Schools/School Districts (esp. Middle/High Schools) - Tend to be best for Avg students. Kids do not lose confidence. Their grades will be much better than above. Easy to get accepted into universities. Ultimately, its better to be a good student in bad schools than Avg students at good schools. Also never think of resale value or selling home while buying itself. You cannot put a value on Primary home. 1 1 Quote
