Kota Srinivasa Rao ( Telugu :కోట శ్రీనివాసరావు) is an Indian Actor from Tollywood. He is highly versatile and Legendary Telugu actor. He is more famous for his negative roles as villain,character roles and comedy timing. He is praised as an actor who can act in any kind of role.He has exceptional abilities in portraying negative roles as a Politician.He was also elected as an MLA from Vijayawada East assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh, India.

His father Kota Seetha Raama Anjaneyulu was a great doctor. He initially started his career in stage and drama plays during his childhood. He worked as a State Bank employee before entering the film Industry. He got married to Miss Rukmani in 1968. He has two daughters and a son.

He was a stage artist with Rangasthalam for more than 20 years. His performance in the drama inspired the director, producer Kranthi Kumar. Later he decided to film the play and thus the entry of this versatile actor landed into Tollywood film Industry. From his debut Telugu film Pranam Kareedu in 1978, he has enthralled the Telugu audience through his variety of roles. He is known for his unique histrionics in portraying Comedy roles, serious character roles and even ruthless villain roles.

He had donned roles from a scavenger to a princely Duryodhana. His roles in Aha Naa Pellanta, Pratighatana, Gaayam, Shatruvu, Govinda Govinda, and Hello Brother, etc. are marvelous and insufficient to say his caliber. He made his debut in Tamil film Saamy as a cool suave villain. He played an excellent negative role named Saniyan Saggadi in the Tamil film Thirupaachi.

He continued doing remarkable performances in Sadhu Mirandha, Satyam, etc. More than 30 years in the film Industry, he has acted in nearly 650 films. He received Best Villain Award for film Chinna in 2001.
