1. This is a rabbit hole. Once you start digging, there is no going back and it will change you forever and will turn your world upside down.

2. Why do you think it's taking control ? What if I tell you it's the reverse? How would you contest my position?

do they do provide peaceful mind without any selfish motive?

opening spiritual doors is a pathless way… they understand well about problems faced by 3rd world countries like poverty, cultural integrity.

Doubt is a major enemy because once trust is broken it can lead to negative outcome.

So, OP thinks conspiracy theories will take control of sensitive minds. I disagree. Conspiracy by book means " group of people, planning to do something bad secretly". Theory is basically putting forward a thought without necessary evidence. Mainstream media uses these words often calling people who doesn't believe what's written by them and believe otherwise and call them "Conspiracy theories/theorists".

Who has more control on the minds of the public? Mainstream media or the conspiracy theories? If it's mainstream media, how do you know the veracity of the news (atleast that's what they call it)?  There is an event and there is an interpretation and a narrative around it.

Let's say in Disha encounter in Telangana, Police and official sources ver. was that the accused try to physically harm police and run away and they had to open fire and accused were killed in the encounter. All news outlets said the same. Do you really believe it? Should you believe it?

If you were to extrapolate the same line of thought to US and international events, say  9/11?  Did you ever try questioning it? Do you choose to not think of it? Who has power on whom? Conspiracy theories or theorists don't hold any power. It's always those in power that want you think these are conspiracy theories.

Again coming back to the use of the word conspiracy theory. The word itself when used is true. Because it refers to line of thought where a group of people secretly planned and executed something bad. When governments are involved in these shenanigans evidence gets eliminated/destroyed/ compromised and  that's what we call 'coverup' . Governments and rich/influential has immunity from legal persecution. So theories stay theories instead of becoming evidence. But the word when used is made public to think, that these are baseless wild imaginations.
