Thapar is also related distantly to the family of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru's niece, the writer Nayantara Sahgal, was married to Gautam Sahgal, brother of Bimla Thapar, his mother.

Delhi was full of UK educated journalists and lobbyists who always looked down on leaders who come from rural and middle class and who cannot speak good English…these leaders are answerable but they are not idiots to be looked down upon.. 

if you notice, Karan, Rajdeep (he mellowed down now), his wife, barkha , etc behaved as if they have a vendetta against bjp.. even vajpayee was not spared.. 

BJP cut off  access to these journalists who always talk negatively about them.. now without the govt view, they have no viewers…

But it is actually bad on bjp to only encourage favoritism… we get only positive news and no negative news..
