mayya
Folks Wanted to get opinions from several angles Is this a right time to purchase a townhome as an investment property for rent in VA area? I understand it depends on several factors, lets say if we consider breakeven ( rent=mortgage at the current rates), is it worth? Or are there better investment opportunities using the cash on hand? Loan bhayya, but can put 20%down for 400k property, immi status GC, living in a single fam house. Based on the current rental in the VA area, breakeven avutundi mortgage and rent. So debating if this is the right time to jump on this or can I find other opportunities for investment

Use a rental property calculator to see if it makes sense. Don't talk to any financial advisors...most of them are useless....if you still want to talk to an Investment/Financial advisor, ask them if they have a fiduciary responsibility...proceed if they say yes.... regarding other options, are you putting money into your 401k/ IRA etc? max them out every year and invest in a S&P 500 index fund (preferably from Vanguard)... already single family home undhi antunnav kabatti, ne net worth 33% home medha, 33% index funds lo, 33% bonds lo unde laga chusko....this is my personal advice...
