In my childhood I used to think Gandhi was great. 

I was a big fan of Germany and Japan ... when I read world war II in history books .. may be coz they were underdogs and all other countries tried to bully or defeat them ... 

Then I grew up and a read a lot on them. I know what's right and what's wrong. My trip to Japan 2-3 yrs back showed how wrong I was about Japan. I visited museum at ground zero in Nagasaki. Japanese themselves showed how cruel they were and how they changed and evolved after WWII. 

I started thinking where I went wrong...It was how it was taught to us in our school books. 

Same thing happening in SM today. Books replaced with SM.
