Over 600 employees of Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc., are facing layoffs beginning in July.

 

Takeda is Massachusetts largest biotech company — employing 6,290 employees in the Commonwealth as of 2022, and among the top 14 largest in the United States.

The company filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notice with the Commonwealth last week announcing 641 employees affected in total, accounting for nearly 10% of Takeda’s Mass.-based staff

Takeda is bigger than 6400 employees.
