Akshardham trip planning

Hi Friends,

Planning to go to Akshardham @ NJ on a normal weekend with kids and elderly parents. Can someone suggest closest place to stay and also how many hrs / days required to cover the complete temple and premises? Also do we need to register timeslot on their website for weekend visit?

Anyother places to cover near that temple?

Weekends always heavy rush, over crowded. you will min 20% of non-desis, mexicans, blacks, chinkies, whites also. reserve your slot online for visit. else they will deny admission. total time put around 3 to 4 hrs including restaurant. shayona is super, you will love that food all veggie though. good luck.

Last week I took my parents. It took 3 hours for us to finish. Food kuda chala bagundhi.

For all weekends and holidays, reservation (free of charge) is mandatory. Otherwise they won't let you in. Full rush vuntadhi, even with pre reservation they made us to stand in 3 different ques.. but once inside vellina tarvatha amazed at the architecture - spellbound.

I stayed in a hotel near Edison, 20 mins drive from EWR airport, 30 mins drive to Akshardham temple.

Other places to cover - Balaji temple in Bridgewater, Statue of liberty
