Postmortem Analysis: Why YCP Failed So Badly?

The main reason for the shocking defeat of YSRCP has been attributed to many things, as a postmortem analysis.

Right from YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to the entire party cadre, they firmly kept faith in the people who received various welfare schemes, but the result is completely topsy-turvy.

Though the below aspects were addressed even earlier, the top leaders in the party considered all those as trivial and believed that nothing can be a complaint when voters are behind the party.

Those main aspects are:

- Ignoring the party workers and believing in corporates like IPac.

- Forgetting the social media army that stood by the party during the 2019 election.

- Distancing the own community voters in the mood of attracting backward communities

- Very poor media management

- Keeping the able leaders away and encouraging faces like Sajjala and Chevireddy who don't know how to project the party and its high command in the right spirit.

- Holding a liquor policy that boomeranged badly

- Failure in projecting whatever development was done in the form of ports, schools, and hospitals.

- Over boasting about welfare activities which irritated the non beneficiaries.

- Some leaders indecently hurting their opponents with filthy words.

These factors contributed to the silent anti incumbency which didn't subside by the welfare schemes like 'Amma Odi', 'Nadu Nedu', 'Raitu Bharosa Kendram' or anything else.

Some more reasons:

1. Alienating reddy community and leaning more towards minorities

2. Killing Amaravathi, the no capital factor really hurt the sentiments of people
