Jagan To Witness Huge Development Around His House

If the 2024 elections are regarded as a referendum for the three capital idea floated by the previous government, then the message is very loud and clear from the people of Andhra Pradesh.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP was unanimously ditched by the voters of all three regions – Vizag, Vijayawada and Kurnool, which were proposed as capitals as part of the plan. It means that people have rejected the proposal and want Amaravati as the sole capital.

With Chandra Babu Naidu set to take oath as the CM for the fourth time, it is just a matter of time before the revival of Amaravati begins. It is a known fact that after Jagan Mohan Reddy took charge in 2019, all activities in the capital city came to a grinding halt and there hasn’t been an iota of development there in the last five years.

Jagan didn’t pay heed to the consequences even though Amaravati farmers who donated their lands in 2014 protested the move to shift the capital to Vizag and also firm opposition from the people of remaining parts of the state. He ultimately paid the price as the YSRCP faced a historic defeat in the assembly polls.

What will be more embarrassing for Jagan is that the development of Amaravati will take place in front of his eyes. The head office of YSRCP in Tadepalli will be shut down and the CM’s camp house which was used for official purposes in the last five years will now be converted as the new head office. As Jagan decided to operate from the camp office itself, he would be staying there most of the time.

Naidu will waste no time to start building Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. He will immediately concentrate on reviving all activities that were stopped by the previous government. So, in the next five years, Jagan will need to see how Amaravati transforms into a landmark city if Naidu executes all his plans scrupulously.
