Well, most of them are BJP so makes sense

Manji no but as you suspected could be to do with upcoming bihar elections 

JDs is a surprise still

south karnataka where JDs has presence NDA won 12 out of 14 seats

mandya kumaraswamy won inspite of majority congress mlas in that seat

kolar also won
