Delhi gets its share of water from neighboring states like Haryana, UP, Himachal Pradesh.. and these states didn’t release water as expected so to show AAP in poor light before state elections in Delhi in few months. Also the water theft and water wastage is another problem.

Himachal did release its mandated share of water to Delhi and Haryana already released its share. 

After requests by Delhi Govt 2 days back, Himachal and Haryana have both agreed to release an additional water supply. 

Atishi has requested Haryana to release water on humanitarian grounds, a request which should have been put up a month back. If it were Delhi's rightful share, they would have demanded, not requested and the same was said in the court. 

With free water, there is overconsumption and record levels of wastage. This is the major reason and not taking preventive steps after reservoirs went dry is the compelling reason for the shortage. Additional resources of water are now released and have reached Delhi and you will still see the shortage for another month. Who do you think the blame should be on? Delhi Jal Board is the one who should be taking responsibility and no one else, least is politics. AAP was very busy in elections and savings its leader's face.
