Nah, I didn't feel any. I live in Syracuse and keep driving around. All the old folks that I met are extremely polite and talkative. I hung around in bars and we even talked about politics.

Syracuse/Albany/Rochester somewhat ok anna, matured untaru, konchem diversity untadhi last 1, 2 decades lo change ayindhi.

But places like Jamestown elmira, bingamton are not so good, antha encouraging undadhu, asalu 70-80% thella, manollu 1-2% kuda undaru. Weather wise kuda too boring place. akkada locals literally inka 70s, 80s lo stuck ayuntaru.

Upstate kaka.. Climate would be harsh.. and it might be tough for your kids to get adjusted with the Kids there.. Most of them are whites and Chinese.. If your kids are soft then i would not suggest. 

Most of them are nice people so i do not think too much racism here when compared to our Dallas Puram where you will be harassed for your Caste.. 

Activity wise it is dull area.. you have Strip Clubs near by you can try.  Bars i would not suggest as most of them are hubs for weed and drugs .
