I'm not rich ppl anna but what is your ask?

do you want to buy a home for investment ?

Tx to rental market is a difficult one currently, Interest rates and Taxes tho neeku profit emi undadu unless you have paid the home in full

Interest rates low lo teesukunna vallaki still good I would say

rents are also dropping slightly 50-100$ everywhere

good schools is important so rentals go quickly in those places

Single family home ki oka 2200-2500 ki oka 2000+ sq ft homes with decent backyard easy ga vasthyi

Taxes everywhere in Austin is atleast 2% in most cases, so assuming a 500k home, the Taxes itself would be 10k

Home maintenance oka 2k-3k esuko every year so you lose almost half the rental income to Taxes and Maintenance.

loan unte break even kastham but you can claim depreciation in tax returns and that will save you some money

1. Yes, 2.5k vastundi, expect 1 month to be vacant atleast (usually can be 2 weeks if you are lucky and the home is in good location)

2. Homestead exemption is only for primary home owners from what I know, claiming it for rental may be illegal so check it

If you hire a property manager (I mean if you are not living in Austin), then expect 50-75% of one month rent for every new tenant/ year , and they take 8-12% or a fixed amount like 150$ or 200$ per month , account for these expenses if you are planning to manage remotely
