Its a bit complicated. Due to covid and partly credit to thatha for suspending state dept operations overseas for extended periods.....that really pushed the game. Had it been some dems, spillover wouldn't have been much.

There is another caveat here as well. Repeal of public charge rule and interview waiver decision taken by biden really put everyone at the finish line. With trump's public charge rules and processing times, more visas would have been wasted in 2022 as well.

This was told to me by my neighbors son. Telugu pillodu born and brought up here with proper degree in CS from UT-Austin. He does not want to fake his resume but sees telugu fakers coming for jobs. Vadiki kopam ravatam lo tappu ledu.

Pure covid. Dump thatha can't suspend all legal immigration without proper reason..covid was national emergency so he did it no one opposed it cause world motham bisket kabatti. Same time he wasted many GC. Of course mana vuncles say Dump thatha valle GC antaru adhi not true any prez would do that aa day ki. 

Dump thatha akkada GC lu apputhadu same time ikkada process slow chesthadu adhe game. May be EB1 will benefit from this not all konchem.

Anna, people who not even graduated from B.tech, with fake degree certificates came to do masters via F1 route. Their intentions is to not study but to earn money in whatever means possible (often resorting to illegal means). That’s what he is trying to say/hoping will be stopped not F1 program itself to halt.

I don't think so.  TN is a part of NAFTA. Last time Trump negotiated USMCA or NAFTA2.0. Appude kelakaledhu. Aina, USMCA/NAFTA is to benefit US corps. Think of it this way. Think countries as corps/companies having agreements. US gets access to Canadian market without having to pay tariffs. The more immigration to Canada the more demand for goods and produce = more money for American corps. American corps bought many Canadian businesses anyway. So more $ flow into the US. 

Also, unlike H1B TN  jobs are restricted to only 64 occupation. Even so, the numbers are no where close to H1B. The only thing that I  think may happen is setting a minimum/prevailing wage requirement, if they can't cap numbers directly. For that to happen, it needs to hit H1B first.

The problem you're raising is not an immigration issue but labor department issue.
