LOL...We should have worked 80 hours a week between 1947 and 1990 and operated within a capitalistic economic model. However, until 1990, for some reason, we believed in socialistic models and an agro-based economy, with no tax on agricultural income. This approach completely ignored and bureaucratically maligned manufacturing and small-scale industries. Now, everyone wakes up and works 80 hours a week. Yet, we still have socialism embedded in our constitution. Saying Hi from Japan and South Korea.
