Pakistan should have planned better': Tyron Henderson on PSL-IPL clash

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently served a legal notice to South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch after he withdrew from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 to represent Mumbai Indians (MI) in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Both tournaments are set to overlap, drawing increased attention to the issue, as the 30-year-old had earlier been signed by PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond Category during the player draft held in January.

Former South African all-rounder Tyron Henderson, who represented Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2009, termed the IPL the biggest T20 tournament in the world and added that the PSL should have been planned better.

"A player does have the right to pull out of a tournament. It is simply a bitter pill to swallow for Pakistan, as he has withdrawn to play in the IPL. The relationship between both nations is not great to begin with," Henderson said in an interaction with TOI.

"IPL is definitely the tournament to be a part of, considering it is the biggest T20 league in the world. Pakistan is trying to protect its competition, but they should not have scheduled the PSL at the same time as the IPL," he further added.
