uff...say if you started buying stocks in 2015 and brought and sold multiple stocks since then, did you ever compare what would have been your returns instead of just buying and holding them since 2015 instead of trading

My 1st trade was SIRI back in 2009 for 32 cents for 500 and sold at 50 cents, later APPL at $140 and sold at $175 (it went through multiple splits since then), Broadcom in 2015 for $110 and sold at $115...2016-17 baga debal tagilaka and becoming serious ardam ayindi enti ante I am trading till then...i started investing since and my returns are lot better now...the thumb rule is to buy a great company at good price and hold on to it

Its all a learning exercise. Every investor who made it big has done it before. Whether you learn from it or not is the question.

I sold AMD at 9....sold Nvda in 2012 after I made 4k profit..

Recently sold pltr at 25.

Meta vs qqq - which is better - investing 20k short term

none is better for short term and when you are looking for short term, its not investing

then what is the return you are expecting? it depends on that.. with HYSA you can get around 4% which would be my benchmark to compare and the safest option if you absolutely need the money in 1 year...i can help you with a better safest option which will be few points more with a work around

below are the absolute safest methods if you need the money in one year for sure and assuming you will not touch the money

Option 1 - Deposit in a HYSA account

Option 2 - Buy Treasuries, you are getting 3.7% as of today. You will save some state taxes

Option 3 - Buy a long Box trade. you can get around 4%. Basically you will lend money and will get back with interest

PS: Is someone is guaranteeing you META or QQQ will yield you money for sure in a year that's BS
