With the Paris Olympics in full swing, we must ask: are these huge events worth it !

How many stadiums will be built, only to be abandoned the next year? 

How many venues will be demolished soon after? 

How many people will fly to watch their favorite athlete compete? 

The Olympics are great. They bring us all together. But can't we do it greener?

For starters, how about using existing venues and accommodation? 

Year after year, we keep hearing how the next event will be "the most sustainable ever." 

Yet I feel like there is still a long way to go. . 

I hope Paris will set a different example than some of these sad examples from previous cities!

Except Stadiums everything else is Economy bro. 

But recent FIFA host Qatar did plan to use these stadiums for other purposes after the event.

For a 3 trillion dollar economy, $10B is not a big deal.. but in Greece, they spent way too much.. 20 years back 12B petti chesaaru with lot of over budget and it pushed them into recession.. Greece is just a $200B economy..
