let me put it this way.............  If..Manhmoham Singh steps down..............who do you think is the best leader the take the reigns of congress govt...............do you think that Mr, Singh doesnt know hat kind of corruption is going on............. as you said he is puppet..... thanks to our founding fathers  who gave us this type of parliamentary system......

choice is never predetermined untill it is realized...when PV government fell.. we thought we will never get credible and better leader than PV..But Vajpayee came and delivered much better than most of the indians can imagine to...same way... we dont see any specific leader now.. but that doesnt mean continue the same shit as shit we dont know may be shittier than the current shit... we cannot assume that way

FYI Manmohan singh has resigned twice when he was finance minster in PV's govt.  only because people made allegations on him during stock market scam. it was rejected by PV both the times.

first of all stop attributing the  1991 reforms for any party or any person. endukante it was influenced from Mao in China. China Opened up completely in 1989... India was the only major country still holding the license raj without any foreign investments..

the reason why we had to open up
1. fall of soviet union... we no more had support from global powers (USSR Veto power was used exclusively for India in mnay ocassions, be it IMF, or Security Council)
2. influence of feeling that China may catch up... we had to open up or else we are bankrupt... any party wud have done exactly the same thing
