avuna... doyou know this fact that Pranab was the finance minister who appointed MMS as RBI Governor in 80's

so nuvvu cheppu .... intellectuals dont allways come from oxford.. they may come from slums as well (examples IAS toppers)

there are many intellectuals who are from India much more intellectual than MMS ( example Raghuram Rajan... he is miles intellectual than MMS....he is currently the economic advisor to MMS ( read more about his stature from Wiki.a wonderful profile of an economist)

please dont argue in the point that MMS is the only leader who can save india.... this is not an excuse for rampant corruption..

chinna example chepta... suppose one rich family is making crores in income... does that mean that the children can steal money whenever they need...if the head of the family should see the childrens activities and correct them or does he need to think that they are making crores... so let their children steal...antaava

anta great  example kadu kaani.. i think u get the theme

u r coming back to the same argument........... I already agreed that he doesnt have absolute power, he trying to play safe  so that he can finish the reform work he started
[/quote]

OK.. i hear you

small final question..when doesn he finish his work.. do you see any specific year for his task to be finsihed .. nakaite 2014 anipistundi.. when our prince will be  enthroned, that is the only mission he is on.. not any national mission

first of all stop attributing the  1991 reforms for any party or any person. endukante it was influenced from Mao in China. China Opened up completely in 1989... India was the only major country still holding the license raj without any foreign investments..

the reason why we had to open up
1. fall of soviet union... we no more had support from global powers (USSR Veto power was used exclusively for India in mnay ocassions, be it IMF, or Security Council)
2. influence of feeling that China may catch up... we had to open up or else we are bankrupt... any party wud have done exactly the same thing

absolutely... when you dont care about a leader.. you should dont even care about what credibility he has.. i plead you to know more about his acts during RBI governor( he gave permission to BCCI .. a  pakistani bank backed by CIA.. which was later banned as it was doing anti CIA operations and working for ISI)

if we have to learn sycophancy.. we got to learn from Indias...

yes.. indian middle class is the only driving engine.. thats why we see no infrastructure to support the growth engine.. government has never in sync with the demands of middle class in contributing to the national economy

inko example.. Golden Quadrilateral Project was wither halted or stopped for just being one reason, it was started by BJP.. everyone is aware of it... why our Singh is King couldnt prioritize it and complete...rather invested in farmers loan waiver just before elections

Chinese ecomic reforms sarted in 1978  @3$%

India went for economic reforms for not reasons u mentioned. it went for economic reasons because  we were at verge of bankruptcy and we already pawed our gold

nuvvu  India velli enni yr ayyindi............. golden quadrilateral is almost in completion except here and there because of some contracting issue .

and coming to middle class beforr 1991 we had 10 % of  middle calss in population and today we have more than 460 milliond people in middle class

internal reforms started in 1978..1989 onwards they opened up a social market economy to the world after the Tienanmen square massacre..... it is major year for them coz thats when they realized that revolution cannot be contained without the market being open to the world and opportunities will make the revolution crush...this is the golden idea of Mao)

so you mean to say a complex Chineese society opened it door first and then refomed aa...does it sound logical..

they reformed their internal structure and opened up slowly by 1989. not the other way around
