its a matter of supply and demand, of course companies do what they are designed to do i.e MAKE PROFIT. that's why regulations should be in place, it is never in favor of employees in India.

not taking company side but this is false comparison really. There won't be much growth to the momo helper after 5 years it will be few thousand more only. But software engineer salary will be tripled or quadrapuled easily. Also on paper Software guy works for 8 hours, but momo helper will work probably 12 hours.

if exposure  business, handling customers, better ideas kotha business is more important then SEs can work for startups who will suck every drop of blood in the name of  business, handling customers, better ideas kotha business.

just saying there are pros and cons to both sides.    boring life ,later life issues are totally in your control.

whole world runs on supply and demand, it is how we leverage that concept to grow. no matter if you are a momo helper or PHD grad or rocket scientist or sanitation worker. being in IT we know this already niche tech are paid twice the amount with beginner knowledge where as an expert in old tech with 20 years exp is paid less than half. 

pre 2008 SAP folks were paid $250 per hour rate with travel expenses . Ippudu $70 kodithey great.

cognizant employee has to pay tax on his 2.5L per anam, you are saying his salary can be trippled but days are not same as old days, he could loos the job to AI or automation

that momo helper can pay the tax or not on his 3L (it depends on his own morality), he could start his own momo business once he got experience and provide employment for few more helpers ,finally there is no work pressure mental torture like yearly apprisal, upskill, certifications

IMO - The worst thing that can happen to you as a person + career is starting yourselves in a WITCH company.

They suck all the confidence you have. There is a clear & stark difference i see with interview candidates coming from WITCH vs any Startup/FAANG/Product.

Im not saying all of them, but most of them. These companies suck the very best of you.
