Vijay Replaces Kamal Haasan as Bigg Boss Host

A few days ago, Kamal Haasan officially announced that he would not be returning as the host for the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil due to his commitments to film projects. This decision has left fans speculating about who will take over the hosting duties.

Recent rumors suggest that Vijay Sethupathi might be the one to step in as the host for Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9.

Star Vijay’s Bigg Boss Tamil is one of the most beloved shows in Tamil media, consistently topping TRP ratings throughout its eight seasons.

When Kamal Haasan announced his departure, many believed that Simbu (Silambarasan TR), who previously hosted the spin-off show Bigg Boss Ultimate, would be the natural successor. However, he, too, is unable to take on the role due to his busy schedule.

In recent weeks, there have been unconfirmed reports linking both Sarath Kumar and Vijay Sethupathi as potential hosts. Among them, Vijay Sethupathi appears to be the frontrunner.

Sethupathi is no stranger to television, having previously hosted shows like Namma Ooru Hero on Sun TV and MasterChef India—Tamil Season 1.

Despite the ongoing rumors, no official confirmation has been made, and fans eagerly await an announcement.

Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi is currently riding high on the success of his recent film Maharaja, where he plays the titular role.

Released on June 14th, the movie has received critical acclaim and has become one of South India’s biggest releases this year.

At the box office, Maharaja has even surpassed Aranmanai 4, making it the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year.
