Idol worship is one of the best things about Hinduism.

Hinduism says that there is just one God but the path to reach are many.

Idols aren't because God takes the shape....idols are to help people concentrate.

Every person is unique....you can make your own idol based on your liking to help you concentrate.

 

This concept also means that you can be a Muslim or a Christian and still be a Hindu.

Jainism is same as Hinduism with some modifications.

Buddhism is totally different. They also do not worship Buddha's idol.

Hinduism lo kuda they are using imaginary physical form as representation of gods anukoo; but why you have to loath it. 

 having temples with buddha's idols not just one hundreds of them I see it as worshipping too.
