just follow above links, create acc to activate freeze. It’s free. Remember you have to unfreeze accounts before requesting any new loans

You actually can not freeze ssn, you can put a credit freeze so that lenders or issuers can not access your credit worthiness and reports etc. incase somebody tries to impersonate you and open a new credi tline. This blocks access to all the 3 major credit bureaus. Here is a 2 min read. You can also read into E-verify self lock feature for ssn.
