bramhacharimogudu Posted August 22, 2024 Report Posted August 22, 2024 Equal Grading Redistribution System (EGRS) We need fundamental fairness in grading distribution. We need to share the grades around so that it's fair for everyone under a grade tax. This current system of grading is a direct reflection of grading inequality and discrimination that has brought harm to our under represented families that we as educators serve and have an obligation to uplift. Not all students come from a privileged background. Some students come from broken homes and under-represented families that are victims of this grading system that favors the academic overachievers. How can we expect them to get ahead when overachieving privileged students are hoarding the success? Whats the harm in Student A who got 100% as a final grade to donate a portion of their grade to Student B who received 58% and will not cross stage? In the Equal Grading Redistribution System, Student A will be receive a grade tax to help increase Student B's grade in order to meet the passing requirement needed to finish school. Now Student A and Student B will now both have the collective opportunity to shine in the future. Think of EGRS as a tax on the overachieving academically privileged students in order to assist to underperforming and underprivileged students. This allows all students and families to reach success, regardless of oppressive setback. Please keep in mind that no student should be left behind. By addressing grading inequality, we can have a more stable and stronger school system. see less 2 Quote
