Yes, but some of the suggestions looked better than what they did ... collapsing multiple characters,  that would have not only saved time but would also made us connect and empathize with them...

Combining lily and Kyra sounds really really great...

Also, prabhas trip to complex count as accidentally saves sum80. Even I thought that's what's going to happen, instead of lame ending.

I think this is another case of director writing too many scenes trying to "build the world", looked great on paper but fell flat on screen. 
World building is needed but they could have done it a bit faster.
