What do u mean by OCI Card Renewal ?

U mean your kids got new US passport so u r wondering whether to get OCI renewal ?

If this is true, then no need to get new OCI card.. just go to OCI misc services and update new US passport details to get linked to your existing OCI card. 

Its all online and no need to submit the changes anywhere... After 1-2 months u will get email from OCI team that new passport details are updated.

It takes time but you should be good.

i submitted new passport details online but never go the confirmation email saying that they have linked the new passport to the OCI. We have traveled to India after that twice and no issues/questions.

U need to renew . You don't need to apply new oci card. But you need apply online for updating new passport details to oci.

 

It's online only , once u apply with in 45 days u get staus saying your new passport  details updated

As per OCI you need to update passport number.. it’s relatively easy process compare to original OCI application…. Though no one cared at indian POE… 

I tried both… one time w/o updating and other time with update… no one asked though
