Do some exercise that will sweat you more. Salts in your body will go away that way. Running or weights or brisk walk will help.

Lose around 10% of body weight. If you are 200 lbs come to 180 lbs and then check it should fall. Incorporate some cardio into your routine.

Pre-Hypertension. Family lo unda? If yes you are on path to get it.

Change diet. Reduce salt. Outside food taggisthe chalu .... If it keeps increasing, replace regular salt with "saidhava Lavanam" or potassium chloride. You will get it in Indian stores.

Is it same as Himalayan pink salt?

Is it healthier option to use in  place of regular salt even with normal BP?

You shouldn’t check once. 2-3 times chudali. If you would have waited 2 mins and checked again konchem takkuva vastundhi. Also walk chesina ventane chusina konchem high vuntundhi. Either way 130/90 is almost normal

There are reduced salt or 50% sodium or light sodium salts in walmart and other stores. They mix salt and saindhavalavadam.

Even some Lays chips if you look at content, some has sodium and potassium. Potassium is good for body. Too much of it is not good.

Check this list to get the most accurate blood pressure readings

Empty Your Bladder: A full bladder can raise blood pressure.

Rest For 5 Minutes: Sit calmly before taking the reading.

Sit Correctly: Feet flat on the ground, back supported, arm at heart level.

No Talking: Keep still and quiet during the measurement.

Take Multiple Readings: Two or three readings, 1 minute apart, for consistency.

Good one, how do you know , are you a doctor except the last part which is wrong if the first reading is high then the second reading should be taken after 5 minutes.          And if still higher readings are noted , record the reading in multiple visits atleast 2 visits to the clinic the average of more than 2 readings in two or more visits is to be taken

The patient should avoid caffeine, exercise, smoking for atleast 30 minutes before the recording

And more importantly the BP device should be validated, the cuff size should be appropriate

If your average reading is 130/90 then you are in stage 2 hypertension according to American heart association guidelines 2017 as diastolic pressure is 90mm of hg

We have to rule out secondary causes of hypertension such hyperthyroidism, Cushing's, renal vascular disease

Thyroid hormone levels, 24 hour cortisol levels, plasma renin activity etc

If all the secondary causes are ruled then it is primary hypertension

LIfestyle changes like correcting obesity, reducing alcohol, restricting salt intake, regular physical exercise, increase consumption of fruits and vegetables, stop smoking

Along with drug therapy is essential if the average is 130/90, combination of antihypertensive drugs is required

CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN AS CLINIC VISIT IS ESSENTIAL FOR THE DIAGNOSIS, HOME MEASUREMENTS ARE NOT DIAGNOSTIC @johnydanylee

Just saw this at Walmart. ‘No salt’ salt. Other stores carry with the name ‘salt substitute’, ‘sodium free salt’. Google search or check in Amazon/walmart. A little exp compared to reg salt. 11oz costs $5.5 in Walmart.
