Cabinet approves 'One Nation One Election'.

Central govt elections are based on national level issues. State elections are based on state level issues… Ivi rendu mix cheyyakudadu..

BjP will learn this the hard way as this will affect their poll performance from the next elections.. their popularity is going down now… and their central govt performance will impact the state govt election results and vice versa

too much federalism, national interests overshadows the local state level issues during elections

what if one state govt fails in no confidence motion or some mp/mla died , should they wait for next one election date?

all you are saving around 15k crores, which is not a big save

Mla mp undi matra emi labam bhayya. After election no one cares.

its definitely not about money.

if they build the systems and resources and people to execute this once, there is gonna be a lot of time saved to do exactly why people elect someone.

national interests overshadow local issues is a fair point.

govt collapsing will be addressed in the policy making for sure.

Its not about saving 15k crores alone!! Due to the election code and campaign 1 year of time is being lost and the development works are not provressing

election code and campaign 1 year

i dont think campaign or election code is one year long

this one election will hugely dent local regional parties, eventually it leads to have only two national parties

Epudu padithe apudu elections bore ayipoindi…

One national election…and halfway through the term, state election at a time.

Its like an election every two and half years where state’s interests and national interests will have a meaningful mandate.

i dont agree on your comment about elections take one year

in my opinion not even 6 months just a couple of months if it conducted individually, Model Code of Conduct (MCC), usually comes into effect from the date the Election Commission of India announces the election schedule. It remains in force until the election process is completed, which typically lasts for a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on the size and complexity of the election.

you may be having this opinion because of recent elections which was unnecessarily fetched into too many phases (which backfired also)

in 2024 because of this too many phases, Andhra assembly also fell into one of these phases, it has to wait more than a month for its results, whereas in 2023 TG elections (campaign and results ) were just wrapped in two months,

so now tell me which election took more time?
