Butter usually is adulterated. Palm oil or it's products are fed to Cows to keep the butter texture. This is not a good sign. Unless procured from pasture raised cows (which Kirkland does not do due to the costs), I don't think their butter matches Desi Ghee at all.

most of the desi's think the butter block is pure and heating it will get pure ghee..
