Bro if you are planning to go to Moonpalace let me know, i purchased thier timeshare plan. so i will get prices much cheaper than what you can get outside. let me know. Moon palace is ideally called the best place for desis especially when going with kids.

4-8 days trip will be good.

stay in hotel zone but dont eat there for every meal. prices are costlier than US restaurents and food isnt worth the money.  maybe take a place which has kitchen and cook your own food. 

take enough dollars

chichen itza trips are good. try taking a trip which gets there very early. or else they will drop you there in the middle of the day when it is too hot.

ferry to isla mujeres. beach there is too good. (walk to the beach takes 20 mins)

kids antunnav kabatti go to xcarat park for a day.
