Indian Origin Foreign National Traveling to India..which visa is correct to apply?

But I read somewhere  Indian Origin Foreign Nationals SHOULD apply for entry visa but not e-Tourist Visa. Is that correct? Is anyone from DB visited India on e-Tourist visa and denied?

Same situation for us bro. We took e-visa(toursit) for my new born son and we stayed in india for 2 months.we travelled to Hyderabad. We didnt face any issues. 
we got our eVisa approved in one day. Hope this helps.
