Delaware is not a bad option for following reasons

1) Close to major cities like Philly, Baltimore, DC, NY with housing in country side (south Delaware)

2) Home property taxes are low

3) No sales tax

4) No tax on SSN money (If the plan is to retire after 59.5yrs)

5) close to beaches
