sometimes as head of households its hard to say No to kids and wife. so they feel that its better stay home than take them to movie and spend on coke and popcorn. might not apply for everyone ofcourse

agree it is difficult to say NO. But there is always a minimum we have to be prepared. life styles are changing. you just cant blame on popcorn prices. There are millions who can still afford but not going to theater for various other reasons. People going to theaters ONLY if they know the content is good, worth watching on big screens. 

Also as someone mentioned above... The snacks costed 3000 for 5 members is something you wanted it and you spent it.
