Is it just me or the difficulty of competition is increasing in last few months ?

Culture worst ayindhi.

Very true ... Recession, layoffs fear everywhere. It will trigger insecurities. People are trying to use the information to badmouth others so that they are safe. 

Do not share more than what is needed. More importantly KNOW YOUR FRIENDS. 

Have friends outside work as well.

As long as there is no mutual benefit you cannot have friends anthe… only talking in terms of new friendships not school and college dosthlu

I have plenty of friends in both the office and outside as well. Never had issues. We have to choose them wisely.

Work lo friends is not uncommon in US, people call to home for parties etc. but toxic work culture is not part of US system

Did a small project in texas for 6 months, mi work culture ki mi competition ki oka dandam ayya saami, manam sariponattu. Manaki potiga IT lo a makku gallu okalu, rmanna denguda. Nenu east coast lo pani chesa, midwest lo chesa kani mari intha chetha culture eda choodaledu

We have good walking trails in our campus. Daily lunch time 45 mis walk. Fridays happy hour. 3 clock chai time. Ala untai. Carpool morning and evenings.

Petty competition between makku gallu mana vallu, chillar complaining to manager about this guy doesn’t come on time, takes lots of coffee breaks goes out for lunch and takes over 1 hour, doesn’t sit at the desk for 8 hours, leaves early. Pani takkuva politics and complaining ekkuva laga undi, inka contractots ni aithe chillar ga choodam. Worst exp in my 15 years of IT careeer

Use your 1:1's efficiently with your manager. Its your responsibility to let him know what you are working on, challenges you are facing and how you are overcoming them. May be once in a while if you are comfortable, give a demo or show your work. If others come to him to claim your work he will know. Basically the point is to market your work and yourself. 

Its another problem if your manager lets them take credit for your work.

Edi endi bro, vadu eechi 10k -15k yearly bonus kosam antha racha/over work avasaram ledu. Ee job kakapothe inkokati, Mari FAANG paying job em kadu kada. Contractors ni andaru second graded employees lani chustaru unfortunately.
