That would probably tell the compiler to interpret a has a buffer of characters, and then go to the 10th character to start.  That is probably within the space the array describes.Each element of that array is 8 bytes wide.Assuming a character is one byte wide, then you'd be starting from byte 0 within uint_64 1 in that array.
Anyway the way you solved it -> That writes a value within the bounds of the array, so it's less shady...

the point of the ques is to emphasize on how pointer addition is performed based on the type..

6.

What will be output if you will execute following c code?

#include<stdio.h>
int main(){
    char ch=321;
    printf("%d %c",ch,ch);
    return 0 ;
}

(A) 321 #
(B) 65 A
(C) 321 !
(D) 66 B
(E) Compilation error

Explanation:

Number 321 is beyond the range of char variable ch. So ch will store corresponding cyclic value as shown in the figure:

Equivalent cyclic value of 321 = 321 % 128 = 65
65 is ASCII value of character 'A'

I had numerical methods through C for Mechanical stuff in masters..like Thermal ,heat transfer evaluation mama..
mechanical terms ni..heat intensity functions ni optimize cheyadaniki vaadey Algos...avi evi...
asalu mech ni software terms lo convert cheskuney sariki mind assam...but still achieved though.

MATLAB runs on C but its easy to write...programs in matlab....

[/quote]same stuff...I was also forced to write in C....hence I know C.
mama example...
oka file ni C program thruough load chesi daaniini access cheyadaniki oka 10 lines raayali..
