Economic Assistance : This aid is provided to the private sector to develop and earn profits.

New Partner in Asia : India is a new close ally of US and US needs its help to maintain its hegemony in Asia in the wake of rising China.

I know that some hate BJP for obvious reasons .. but u shd know that running a govt is different from running a political party!

Basic thumb rule in foreign relations is, there are "NO FRIENDS FOREVER" !! Its just partners or adversaries in geo-political relations ..

No matter which govt runs India, they'll not mess up d relations wid odr countries keeping political bias in mind! India aspires to be a leader & not an influencer, by any means unlike China!
