Its not needed AFAIK if you do not get out of airport. 

Buy some perfumes and fancy jewelry for your wife/kid (Stores similar to Swarowsky). They are awsome. You will find many in airport

If you have any "US", you are good.

Even with expired visa people got thru, but depends on immigration staff at the airport on that day.

But if you've valid stamped visa of US in your passport you are good brother

valid US visa kavalenu....akkada transit lo no immigration check but ikkada flight ekkanivvaru...

You need it Kaka... when the donkey flight was captured they made it mandatory..

You remain in the airport’s international zone while waiting for the transfer flight to your final destination, and your final destination is located outside the Schengen area.
