Ground water Crisis in Hyderabad | Kukatpally Declared Red Zone

Too many apartments, submersible motors with almost 1200+ feet borewells, huge population. Cant blame anyone. Idi 25 yrs kindata muchata. No idea if chandanagar, miyapur have the same issue as they have lot of apartments

The groundwater captured by some of the deeper borewells accumulated over 100s of years. No amount of rainwater harvesting will raise those water levels. Rainwater harvesting may help (a little) in raising shallow aquifer levels. But the reality is that we are consuming a finite resource faster than that resource can be replenished naturally.
