ఈక్వెనెక్స్ డాటా సెంటర్

శాన్ ఫ్రాన్సిస్కో లోని ప్రపంచ ప్రఖ్యాత ఈక్వెనెక్స్ డాటా సెంటర్ కేంద్ర కార్యాలయాన్ని సందర్శించాను. ఈ సందర్భంగా తమ కంపెనీ అందిస్తున్న డాటా సేవలు, కార్యకలాపాలను సంస్థ గ్లోబల్ ఎండి కౌషిక్ జోషి, సీనియర్ స్ట్రాటజిక్ సేల్స్ ఇంజనీర్ రాబర్ట్ ఎలెన్ పవర్ పాయింట్ ప్రజెంటేషన్ ద్వారా వివరించారు.  ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లో డాటాసెంటర్ ఏర్పాటుకు గల అనుకూలతలను వివరించి ఈక్వెనెక్స్ ఏపీకి రావాలని ఆహ్వానించాను.

Land+Eleectricity+Water dobbestharu, minimal employment and in near future datacenters will run manless. European countries are not allowing data centers anymore.

Data center construction completes within 2 years, it will cost around 200 Cr for construction apart from electric, mechanical equipment and servers etc, which comes from foreign companies. After completion it hardly provides 20 jobs. 

It consumes a lot of electricity like 2 to 4 crs per month. Govt subsidy evakunte its a good idea. The problem here is it diverts electricity from homes and small industries, if not this is a great income for electric companies and govt distribution. 

A lot of water consumption to cool down and will affect agriculture.

aw kaka.. these Data center are not helpful in creating jobs and takes lot of Power and Water resources for cooling.. if they are going to dump it in ocean that would be okay..
