You don't have a green card. Strictly speaking H1 class of visas are non immigrant, with auxillary component of legalizing residency.

Without a green card, allowing your spouse to compete with local labour doesn't make much sense too.

You never know. H4 EAD is not backed by any law apart from Obozo EO. The spouse is only in US because of the husband's H Class visa status. He/she intending to work in local economy means directly competing with local labour force. This is another 💩💩 alongside DEI hiring from the Obozo time.

That's because it's not Trump's sarkar that challenged it but Savejobs USA.

If the administration itself decides to rescind the EO, then there is no question of legal challenge in the courts.  Whether it happens needs to be seen.
